Gillian Hehir is a clinical psychologist working in private practice in Ballarat.  She is passionate about the well-being of women and works exclusively with those who identify as female.  Gillian is a proud feminist and much of her work involves assisting women to recognize the value of financial and emotional independence to ensure their individual choices and options in life.

Gillian undertook all her tertiary studies and associated work placements in Ballarat and retains a strong connection to the university and local health professionals.  She continues to supervise and mentor trainee psychologists to pass on her experience and wisdom to ensure the capacity and sustainability of the next generation of fellow health professionals, in what can be a very rewarding but also often challenging, career path.

When not working, Gillian enjoys the peace and tranquility of a 5-acre property on the outskirts of Ballarat which she shares with her husband, two cats and various other animals and wildlife.  She enjoys tending the garden, reading, cooking, hiking, keeping fit and spending time with friends and family and, as a creative pursuit, she has developed a keen interest in the art of mosaic.

Gillian remains immensely proud of her son, now twenty-seven, as he forges his way in the world, which currently includes a return to study in the pursuit of his passion to make a difference in his small part of the world.
